The original ancient road

Here, you actually walk on the original road that connected the South Gate of Phillippopolis with the Aegean Sea. Most of what you are seeing today is from the repairments during the medieval era. After 30 minutes walk on the ancient path, you can reach one of the Roman bridges that is still standing.
